THIS IS A BETA (Version 1.7) This will only work for Driveshell 0.8.3 Beta 1+

IGO Navigation is an app that enables turn-by-turn navigation with the IGO application embedded.

There are two version of the installer, Full and Update. Update installer only updates the changed files, so if you already have IGO Navigation installed, this should be enough.

Visit Driveshell.com for latest versions

PLEASE NOTE

When first starting IGO Navigation, you are prompted for a setup of language etc.. when finished, close IGO Navigation through the Exit button of the embedded application to save changes properly. This is only needed the first time.

Guess what happens now :)

After installing that new plugin on my CAR PC I found out something ;)

So when I use the new BACKGROUND APP BUTTON to switch from HOME to IGO and back - I have absolutely NO problems with IGO responce :D

BUT when I use the ordinary IGO button to do the same,I have NO IGO responce every second time.

That makes me just wonder if I click the ordinary IGO button maybe the plugin does just not recognize that IGO is already running in the background, you know.

Check my video:

Since I'm using a tablet I have very little on board storage. Is there a way to put the maps for igo on my sd card?

Well, basically you could copy the complete IGO folder onto your SD card.
BUT to get that working,Driveshell needs a setting where you can define the path of IGO,you know.

So all in all thats not a bad idea.
But as said Driveshell needs to know where IGO is located ;)

I think that should be easy to do with an setting for igo plugin.
So lets wait until Lasse reads that post ;)
IMHO that makes sense;)

I have to set the com port for my gps receiver in the IGO menu each time I use IGO. Is there anyway to have it save that info so I don't have to do it each time?

Yeah, me to.. i hate that! I don't really know why, it has nothing to do with Driveshell though. I guess it's a IGO issue.. One way to fix it i guess is to manually edit the config file for IGO and set the port and baud rate there, but with the new settings system for apps, i could hopefully make it as an option in Driveshell, that would be much better.. I plan to look at this as soon as possible..

Guys,that is related to Igo.
Just edit SYS file manually.

Here it is.
So just open SYS_PC with your editor.
Edit the settings for com port and baudrate.
Save your changes.
DONE ;)

Okay,

the setings for GPS port and baud rate are working.
GREAT :)

BUT IGO autostart NOT works.

I have turned it ON in app settings.
After close/restart DS there is NO autostart of IGO.
When you go to app settings again the autostart feature is setted OFF.

Maybe that setting is just not saved ?

Try look in the folder where the plugin is installed. There should be a Settings.xml file when something is saved.

Good news :)

On my main PC all that works perfectly :)

The testing yesterday was on my HTPC and there WINDOWS 10 blocks something.
I have to look for that more.

BUT anyway the autostart of IGO works GREAT and also the settings for GPS port and Baud rate.

Well Done,Lasse :)

Thanks!

It might be that Windows won't allow the file to be saved there.. might have to move it to Appdata folder then.
